Welcome to a glimpse of Port Townsend and the Olympic Peninsula and the magical place we call home.

We are fortunate to live in an exquisitely beautiful part of the Pacific Northwest. Nestled between the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges at the top of the Puget Sound, our micro-climate is often referred to as the "blue hole."

Part of the magic of living in our part of the world is what you get to see in your yard.  This young barn owl hit some wires in the dark and found itself in a fenced garden when the sun came up and was being harassed by crows when we arrived to help rescue it.  We took it to a local veterinarian who is certified to provide medical care and rehabilitation services for raptors and other wildlife.

We hope to bring you a taste of that magic in the pages that follow, as well as links to resourceful web sites with a community focus.
