About Me

Like many real estate professionals, my personal background is quite diverse. I grew up riding horses in Unionville, Pennsylvania and had the opportunity to work with some of the finest flat, turf, and steeplechase trainers in the business. This led to over a decade of working with hunters and jumpers and a brief time as a licensed thoroughbred racehorse trainer. While working with horses was my passion, an injury put me out of the saddle until I came to Port Townsend twenty-something years later to follow my dreams.

My equine profession was followed by a series of unique and challenging entrepreneurial experiences, including a music management company for original artists in the Philadelphia market; a toy invention and patent company; creating and hosting a documentary series for cable television called "Backside" about the thoroughbred racehorse industry and working in various positions in television and radio.

The entrepreneurial years ended in 1990 with almost a decade of state government work as Manager of Information and Education for a solid waste management authority. While in that position, I created an award-winning environmental education curriculum, for which I finally had the opportunity to utilize my early education degree from Bennett College in Millbrook, New York.

Work in environmental education led me to a private sector position, with JT&A as vice president of the EnviroScape® section, allowing me to open a west coast office to develop educational programs on the impacts of land use on water quality.

I continue to be involved in local natural resource and planning issues, working to protect the beautiful environment surrounding us, while ensuring that those who wish to make their lives here are able to.

Now married and happily thriving on a small horse farm in Jefferson County with my husband, Norm MacLeod, I am concentrating on working to help my real estate clients realize their dreams. (Norm is responsible for this web site and many others through his company, Gaelic Wolf Consulting.)

I enjoy people immensely and have a strong belief that we all have the capacity to work through any challenge put in front of us.
